“To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.”

-1 Peter 2:21 (NIV)

There is perhaps no greater challenge to life than the presence of pain and suffering in the world. We wrestle with the question “Why does suffering happen?”

Just last week a catastrophic tornado hit Nashville, Tennessee; the COVID 19 is spreading quickly around the world and causing panic; and there is an uncertain financial climate. Combined with our own personal struggles, many of us are overwhelmed with heavy burdens.

Today’s podcast was recorded with the prayer that it will bring hope and encouragement to you during these times of uncertainty and fear, and help you embrace lessons during suffering that transform us to truly experience a joy that is beyond ourselves to muster.

As you listen to the conversation, if you think of something in your life that you would like prayer for and then email us at podcast@pottersinn.com with your prayer request -  we will make sure it is lifted up.
