Potter’s Inn Soul Care Conversations is a place where our souls meet the world. We invite you into a relevant, vulnerable and courageous conversation with us. We’ll explore key Soul Care issues facing us in work, health, relationships and God. In our busy lives, we all need a space to reflect, be inspired, and get some needed resources to help us navigate the white water of life. This podcast is provided by Potter’s Inn, a ministry dedicated to the care of the soul for leaders in the ministry and the marketplace. Meet Our Co-Hosts

Steve & Gwen Smith

Co-Founders, President and Spiritual Directors of of Potter’s Inn. Steve was educated at Lenoir Rhyne College, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He pastored churches in KY, NC and the Netherlands. He is a speaker, Spiritual Director, author and companion with many. Gwen was educated at UNC - Charlotte in Nursing and Denver Seminary. She is a Registered Nurse and Spiritual Director. She is a retreat leader and offers spiritual direction and soul care. The Smiths have been married since 1980 and have four adult sons and four daughters-in-law and a growing tribe of grandchildren!

Kaylene Derksen

Development Director at Eastern Mennonite Mission. After living in several places around the world, it seemed right to settle in Lancaster PA, a city representing many different cultures. Kaylene loves learning as much as possible from other people, wherever they are from. She is a certified Soul Care provider and passionate about encouraging others to find out and be who God has created them to be. She enjoys anything having to do with hospitality (including cooking and having friends and family around her table), the spoken and written word, and mornings with her husband, Jimm.

Joe Chambers

Pastor of Mountain Heights Baptist Church in Buena Vista, CO. Studied at Oklahoma Baptist University, completed a two-year certification program in Soul Care from the Potter’s Inn Soul Care Institute and Fuller Seminary. Currently an apprentice with Anam Cara in Spiritual Direction. Living with his wife Lynette at the base of Mt. Princeton, Joe is an avid reader and writer, loves to tell stories, and spend time in the wilderness.

Dustin Hibbard

Dustin was full-time ministry staff with Potter’s Inn for five years and now part-time consulting while moving forward into his boyhood dream of flying in professional aviation. Educated in Aviation Flight at Southern Illinois University and Mission Aviation at Moody Bible Institute. Completed two-year program in spiritual formation at the Transforming Center. While working part-time as a Flight Instructor, he is integrating Soul Care into this life and work while raising a family in Colorado Springs with his wife Natalie.

Husband to Rachael and father to Katie and Wesley. Jeremy is blessed to serve as an elder, teaching pastor, and spiritual director in training in the mountains of Breckenridge, Colorado. Before completing a degree in Christian Leadership from Colorado Christian University, Jeremy earned an associates degree in music and theater. He recently completed a two year certification in Soul Care from the Potter’s Inn Soul Care Institute and Fuller Seminary and is currently working on a Master’s of Divinity in spiritual formation from Gateway Seminary. Jeremy lives with his wife and young children in Dillon Colorado. He enjoys feasting with friends, early morning runs through his neighborhood, good books, and a good cup of coffee.
