Deep in our hearts we all long for a life that is integrated. Our work, relationships, faith, marriage, parenting, health, marriage… how do you bring all the aspects of our life together and live one life?
Today’s conversation gives us an inside look at what this means for John Kapitan. John is a business owner, a father and husband, a farmer, and a man who daily seeks that integrated life… a man with a 21st century career living in an 18th century lifestyle!

John is the CEO of Kapstone Medical, a company he founded in 2007 after 15 years in the medical device industry as a design engineer and regulatory affairs executive.
John received his BSME from Cornell University and MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management.
John, his wife Denise, and their 9 children live on a large family homestead retreat nestled in an Appalachian mountain holler of 500+ glorious acres just outside of Asheville, N.C.
Learn more about them and their family farm, Kapstone Farm.
Moment to Breathe - A Sabbath Poem by Stephen W. Smith (Copyright 2017)
Look at all we’ve had to navigate this week--all the Tweets--all the inner tweets never sent.
But they lodge in us. They stay there and hijack our peace.
All the voices barking at us like angry dogs.
All the layers of stress that have accumulated in our inner sanctums.
That lie like thick dust on oak tables.
What if my heart is this old grainy table needing a good dusting.
If it seems too much--then it is too much.
It’s a different day today.
It is this day of ceasing--unlike the other days.
Light your candle. I have lit mine.
Sit and stay a while. There is no hurry today.
Ponder anew. There have always been problems.
Read a poem and listen to the music that will stir you once again.
Without this rest, we will lose our way.
But not today. Not today.

We want all our Podcast family to know about the release of “Soul Tending” the dramatic sculpture showing the story of our lives in clay and the hands that shape us. You can listen to the podcast, Episode 22 where Steve talks to Scott Stearman, who sculpted this wonderful piece of art.
We depend on your support to carry on the ministry of Potter's Inn. Each of our ministry staff also raise their own financial support for salaries to serve with our team.
